Heading to Midland

That's right Midland Texas. This born and raised Alabama gal is finally moving out of the ham hock of the south and moving out to where the air is dry, they barely get any rain, and I only know 2 people that live out there.
Why?
My hubby got a kick ass job in Texas that has a jobsite in MIdland that he is to oversee. Today we have just went through the Gateway to the West (Ft. Worth) and are now heading on the long haul drive to the furthest west I've ever been in my life. Sym's too.
When I told people at work that we are moving to Midland their first response was "Why Midland?" From what little research I've done on Midland, there aint much out there. seriously. They do have alot of lakes, shopping, an airport and the city seems to be really clean from their website. The schools are good. Sym gets to be the mysterious new girl (she's excited about that).
I made a list of Reasons why I am excited about Going to Midland
1. New Town where NOBODY knows me. LOL
2. We get to hang out with one of Johnny's daughters
3. New Town New Paths to Explore!
4. Outdoorsy area. Hunting, fishing, etc
5. Johnny doesn't know anybody out here too except co-workers.
6. No exs to run into. LOL
7. The dry air will be great for my sinuses. Sym's too.
8. Parks galore!
9. I was able to downsize my crap. Trust me that is a good thing!
10. It gets cold enough in the winter to actually wear knitted items!! Woot!
11. No State Income Taxes!
12. No sales tax on groceries (yeah alabama taxes the hell out of you even on groceries.)
13. We actually get to start our lives together from scratch. This is not his turf or mine. New Ground for New Beginnings.

That's why I made this blog.
I want to document our adventures out here for my friends and family back home to see. Although there's not any pictures now, there will be. This blog will be picture heavy as time goes on.
I plan to also document our weekend adventures. I plan to get out of the house and roam the wild west and take pics.
